What is Equities?

A stock represents a share of a company's capital. The purchase of a company's stock by an investor results in the investor becoming a shareholder of the company. Shares traded on the stock exchange are subject to constant change in price according to the dynamics of supply and demand. Investors can achieve long-term value by investing in shares or implementing short-term buy-sell strategies.
