Forex transactions are conducted for the purposes of profit, hedging, and arbitrage. The basic principle in these markets is to buy a currency expected to appreciate in value and sell another currency, thereby generating profit.
The value of a currency is determined by factors such as ; inflation, GDP, interest rates, monetary policy, trade balance, investments, tourism, and geopolitical risks. Participants in the Forex market include central banks, banks, investment managers, hedge funds, institutional investors, and individual investors.
