Operational Brokerage Services

Ak Investment provides brokerage and advisory services as a solution partner in the operational transactions of issuers operating in the capital market.

• • It provides brokerage and advisory services throughout the process to issuers planning to increase or decrease their capital with or without consideration.
  • It provides brokerage and advisory services in the payment process for dividend payments to the shareholders of issuers.
  • It provides representation services under the “Joint Liability Undertaking” for companies whose shares or debt instruments are registered for transactions with the Central Securities Depository (CSD).
  • It provides brokerage and advisory services for stock transactions with a predetermined or undetermined buyer and exceeding a certain amount, in accordance with the “Borsa Istanbul A.Ş. Wholesale Trading Procedures.”
  • It provides brokerage services for the circulation of shares of companies listed on the stock exchange (excluding GIP) that are registered with the Board but not traded, in accordance with the principles determined by the Central Registry Agency (CRA).
  • It provides brokerage services in the sale of shares in the primary market following the expiration of unused subscription rights or the issuance of shares representing increased capital resulting from the restriction of subscription rights.
  • It provides brokerage services in share purchase offer transactions related to the voluntary or mandatory acquisition of shares of a partnership, including processes aimed at transferring management control of the target partnership.
  • It offers brokerage services in transactions related to the right of dominant partners to withdraw from the partnership, the right of other partners to sell their shares, and the right of dissenting shareholders to withdraw in significant transactions.

Custody Services

Ak Investment is authorized to provide “General Custody” and “Limited Custody” services.

The Limited Custody Service is limited to the custody of capital market instruments for which Ak Investment is authorized to provide brokerage and portfolio management services, managed portfolios related to individual portfolio management, and capital market instruments for which Ak Investment acts as an underwriter or best effort agent in connection with their public offering.

You can trade in domestic and international markets and receive services related to the custody of capital market instruments in your Ak Investment accounts opened through Ak Investment and Akbank branches.

For the custody of assets that may be subject to custody in accordance with the principles specified in the relevant Capital Market Board (CMB) Communiqués, an “Ak Investment Menkul Değerler A.Ş. Brokerage and Investment Services Framework Agreement” must be signed between the customer and our company.

For each customer with whom an agreement is concluded, a customer custody sub-account is opened with the authorized clearing and custody institution and/or CRA prior to accepting orders from the customer or sending orders on behalf of the customer. The CRA registration number is obtained and matched with the customer number. If the customer already has a registration number, it is matched with the customer number in the CRA system.

General custody service is a custody service provided independently of the investment services and activities for which the authorized entity is licensed and operates.
